780 B.Tech students gave AMCAT Test
Training & Placement Cell, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar organized Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptive Test (AMCAT) under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme-3 (TEQIP-3) for all B.Tech students of all streams. 780 Students gave this online exam from their homes.
Pratap Singh Malik, Director, Training and Placement Cell told that cell has been organizing this test from last three years free of cost as per the instruction of NPIU of Ministry of Human Resource Development and with the funding of Technical Education Quality Improvement Program.
Prior to test, An Online Orientation Session was conducted by Mr. Sidharth Tiwari, Regional Manager, Aspiring Minds on 24th Oct.
In this orientation session, students were told about the importance and pattern of the test. Mr. Sidharth told that AMCAT (Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptive Test) Test from Aspiring Minds Assessment Pvt Ltd is a well-known Employability Assessment Test in India and is directly recognized by more than 3000 Clients including big names like Amazon, Accenture, Aricent, HCL, Phillips, Airtel etc for Campus Placements and is used by more than 2000 Colleges/Universities for their students. He told that by giving this test, each student will get its detailed assessment report based on which, he or she can improve on the week areas. Also, students get interview calls from companies using this score.
Director(Placement) told that the duration of the test for B.Tech. 2nd and 3rd year students was two hours and for the students of B.Tech. 4th year was three hours. The test contained questions of English, Reasoning, Quantitative, Personality and Domain Knowledge. Test was coordinated by student volunteers Ashish Sheoran and Ankit Verma.
