Speakathon Club under the mentorship of Training and Placement cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar organized an online Debate Competition on the topic “The New Farm Bills 2020” under its Monthly Virtual Speakathon program. Thirty three students participated in the competition. Introducing the event, Dr. Aditya Vir Singh, Assistant Director of Training and Placement Cell greeted all the participants and encouraged the students to do more and more participation in such types of programs for enhancing their communication skills. Participating students speaking in favour of the motion argued that these new bills will lead to a second green revolution. Storytelling Contest Event on Lockdown Period under Monthly Virtual Speakathon The Speakathon Club constituted in the mentorship of Training and Placement cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar organized an online Storytelling Event on Lockdown Period on 17th Nov 2020. Event was completely managed by students of club. Students Nisith Shubhankar from Deptt. Of Economics,  Sangeeta Boora from the department. of Psychology and Shalini Sharma from Btech EE, were the judges of event. Mr Pratap Singh Malik, Director of Training and placement cell presided over the function. He said that storytelling induces the willingness of students to express themselves and communicate their thoughts and feelings. Speakathon club starts at GJUST  A Student Club namely SPEAKATHON CLUB has been created in the mentorship of Training & Placement Cell of GJUS&T (Hisar). Inauguration of the club was done in the form of a an Online Workshop held on topic "Communication Excellence" for club members in which Director of TIME, Hisar was the chief guest and key speaker. In his welcome address, Director of T&P Cell, Pratap Singh told that this club has been formed with the target of enhancement of communication skills of as many students as possible. He told that students, who have been declared winners in all speakathon events held in last 6 months are the members of this club.
