Responsibilities:

• Functions under the oversight and supervision of a Senior Engineer / Lead Designer.
• Prepare engineering designs for transportation projects including engineering construction drawings, using AutoCAD program, from general design information and sketches. The designs will be developed in collaboration with the larger roadway transit design team.
• Perform changes, additions and/or revisions as required based on comments from Lead Design Engineer.
• Conduct engineering planning options and comparisons between various options by undertaking multi-factor assessments to select preferred cost-effective design alternatives under senior direction.
• Assisting in the analysis of engineering problems and design deficiencies and recommending appropriate courses of action.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to advance designs and resolve conflicts with other services.
• Ensure accuracy of scale, compliance to standards, detailed calculations and changes.
• Perform engineering calculations (e.g., quantities, initiating or checking design, planning elements).
• Adheres to corporate quality control and assurance processes for all design work.

Generic Job Description:

• Proficiency in Spoken and Written English language.
• Technical college diploma or degree or equivalent experience in roadway design.
• Knowledge and work proficiency of following software is required:

1. Proficient in AutoCAD 2018-2019
2. Autodesk Civil 3D (preferred)
3. MS Word & MS Excel.

• Engineering/Technologist diploma or Degree from Government recognized institute;
• Excellent organization skills;
• Detailed oriented, function in a multi-task environment, and follow complex instructions.
